Under 10
G.G Grassroots Academy 3-2 Brightness Academy
The day opened with an entertaining match as the U10's produced a hearty performance to win 3-2 in the day's first game.
Under 10
G.G Grassroots Academy 1-2 Ambassador Academy
Second game of the day ended with the cruellest of margins for the youngest Grassroots charges. Against Ambassador Academy, the Under 10s gave everything in a tight, hard-fought contest, only to fall to a single goal in a game decided by the finest of edges. There was no shortage of effort, spirit or promise on display from the little ones ,and for a group this young, playing with this much commitment, the result is simply part of the journey. Mark this down as a lesson, not a setback. These boys will bounce back.
Under 12 A Seven-Star Rout
G.G Grassroots Academy 7-1 Brightness Academy
If the Under 10s suffered a narrow defeat, the Under 12s delivered the response in devastating fashion. Seven goals. One conceded. A complete, clinical, unrelenting rout of Brightness Academy. This was attacking football at its most ruthless, and Brightness had no answer to it. Seven different passages of brilliance put the match beyond any doubt, and the scoreboard told only half the story of the dominance on display. A performance to savour ,the future of the G.G front line looks frighteningly bright.

The Under 16s kept the momentum rolling with a commanding, professional display against Ambassador Academy. Three goals scored, none conceded ,a clean, complete performance that showed maturity beyond the players' years. This was control from start to finish, and the 3-0 scoreline puts a bashing on the record in the most emphatic, composed manner possible. The Under 16s made their statement and made it look effortless.

Under 18 Resilience Rewarded
G.G Grassroots Academy 1-1 Ambassador Academy
G.G Grassroots Academy 2-1 Taona Academy
The oldest group faced the busiest afternoon of all with a demanding double-header, and they answered the call with grit. First up, the Under 18s were held to a hard-fought 1-1 draw by Ambassador Academy ,a point earned through resilience rather than surrendered. Then, with little time to recover, they returned to the field against Taona Academy and ground out a superb 2-1 win to close the day on a high note. Two matches, four points, and a lesson in endurance for the young men who will soon carry this club forward.
The Verdict
Four wins, one draw and one narrow reverse across six fixtures , this was a Saturday that underlined exactly what G.G Grassroots Academy is building. From the youngest lions learning their trade to the Under 18s demonstrating maturity under a heavy workload, every team wore the badge with pride at First Capital Sports Club.
